About Me

I am an experienced and qualified EMCC coach with over 20 years’ experience in leadership, people development and executive coaching in large multinationals and SMEs across a range of sectors.

In 2017, I setup my coaching and leadership consulting practice focussed on one to one and team coaching along with strategy development and implementation consulting. I have built a sizeable client base across a variety of sectors including travel, retail and telecommunications sectors. I am passionate about helping people develop themselves and achieve their full potential.

My passion for launching Elaine Russell – Finding Flow stems from what is important to me  -  to make a difference to the effectiveness of leaders and teams, their impact and overall success.

What’s unique to the Finding Flow model is the holistic approach my solutions offer. An immersive experience, combining my leadership effectiveness expertise, coaching skills with wellbeing and an inside out, mind, body and spirit focus. Finding Flow solutions are truly transformative.

In my free time I play, cook and shop with my two daughters, I love to read and spend time with friends both at home and at local restaurants. I volunteer with a student and an arts organisation and am just beginning to play a little golf with my very patient husband.

My values infuse the way I work …

  • Positivity

See the good in people and situations. Be kind and give the benefit of the doubt. Propose solutions to challenges rather than getting stuck in the problem. Take an optimistic outlook while being realistic.

  • Infectious Enthusiasm

A natural enthusiasm for meeting new people, starting new projects, reading new books and learning new things. Enjoy sharing new learnings with others in service of providing new insights or solving problems.

  • Courage

Be courageous in decision making, take risks, make mistakes and learn fast. Be courageous to speak up and challenge how we do things. Well intentioned challenge and learning from our mistakes improves how we do things and how we work together.

  • Calmness

When we are at our best we have time, we remain in the moment, we make clear decisions, we breathe and we stay calm. I work well in chaos too, as decisions come thick and fast and we are pushed into flow, even in chaos it is calm in the eye of the storm. I are not drawn in to drama in my own team or with clients.

  • Collaboration

I love working in teams, enjoying bouncing, ideas, approaches with others to get to the best answer. I enjoy bringing complementary skills together so that each are enjoying what they are doing and a great result is delivered. In a great team we know that 2+2 > 4.

Ruth Mellett

Elaine’s depth of listening and understanding means she can delicately deep dive into seemingly small elements of the discussion to mine critical information to support you moving forward. She allowed me come to the nub of the issue myself with the correct amount of coaxing.

Sometimes as leaders of businesses, we can find ourselves sweeping out of coaching sessions and back into “business as usual” far too quickly without pausing for thought. But part of the contract with Elaine was to provide feedback on agreed actions at the end of each session, so there was ongoing accountability which enabled me to keep moving forward.
